Vista Guidance Centers began offering mental health and substance abuse treatment services in Redlands in 1969 as Redlands-Yucaipa Guidance Clinic Association, Inc. (RYGCA), a highly respected community-based organization. RYGCA has been an integral part of the community, making it our top priority to deliver superior quality services to those who need them most.

This last year has brought a wave of exciting changes in our organization, including an organizational name change! With the launching of our new name, RYGCA is looking forward to providing crucially needed services to our community as Vista Guidance Centers, (VGC). All of our contact information will remain the same, but our new name will help us to continue to succeed in reaching new communities!

Also, on July 1, 2004, Vista Guidance Centers opened our doors to the community of San Bernardino and beyond, launching Vista Recovery Center, a program that supports the recovering community. With over 500 members already, the center has been teaming with clean and sober activities, recreational events and vocational programming. We are happy to finally be a part of the San Bernardino family and look forward to bringing more services to the community through Vista Recovery Center and our new collaboration with the San Bernardino City Unified School District.

As the future approaches, VGC is committed to reaching the goals set forth in our strategic plan by sustaining agency momentum and facilitating positive organization growth. Our service capacity has increased to include more programs for children and families, such as anger management, substance abuse prevention and outreach. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals, their families and the community in general and look forward to continuing to provide excellence in service to the residents of the communities we serve.
